Sea Meadow Marine Piles

Sea Meadow Marine Piles

Yarmouth, Maine

Bancroft Contracting’s Marine Division has successfully completed and put the first job in the books!

D. Stetson Services approached Bancroft with the need to get this work done quickly, as the bulkhead for Sea Meadow Marine had failed. Knowing the manpower was ready and available, mobilization and procurement happened quickly. Part of the procurement process was the South Paris Maintenance Shop ordering a timber pile clamp attachment for the excavator’s Movax pile hammer — new toys to play with in the mud!

With the proper equipment in hand, the crew began driving the eighteen 30’ greenheart piles approximately 22’ into the mudline.  Now that the piles are embedded, the customer will be coming in behind us to install a timber wale and lagging system.

Commenting on the completion of the project is Project Manager James Lewin:

“This project took us two days to complete, which is one day ahead of our planned schedule. This was our first timber pile project, but it didn’t show.  Our crew caught on quickly to the tricks of the trade which made for a flawless execution.”

Undoubtably, a strong, positive review and encouraging words for this new Division to move forward with. Excellent!
